South of Market Business Association: SOMBA is an association of businesses in the South of Market neighborhood. |

South of Market Project Area Committee: SOMPAC is a citizen advisory board for the San Francisco Redevelopment Agency Project Area between 5th and 7th Streets, roughly from Harrison to Mission Streets. The Redevelopment Agency is the decision maker, but SOMPAC is a way for the Agency to get the pulse of the community, and for the community to stay informed about what is going on at the Agency. The Project Area was originally started after the 1989 earthquake to assist with strengthening buildings, but its mandate has since evolved and become much broader. SOMA Leadership Council: The SoMa Leadership Council is a monthly gathering of those who care about the past, present and future of South of Market. A broad spectrum of the community – residents, housing activists, small business owners, developers, arts and entertainment advocates – are all active participants. The focus is on good planning and good government. |

The Yerba Buena Alliance is a group of museums and businesses in the area between Market, Harrison, 2rd, and 5th Streets. It has some overlap with the area served by ClementinaCares, and they also have a pretty cool neighborhood map. |

Yerba Buena Community Benefit District: A community benefit district is a geographic area where property owners have voted to tax themselves in order to pay for additional services. Recently approved by the Board of Supervisors, the Yerba Buena Community Benefit District will extend generally from Market to Harrison Streets, between 2nd and 5th Streets. |
